We’re incredibly proud that Vauxhall Motors has been woven into the fabric of Britain’s motoring life since 1903. From the Prince Henry to the Corsa, we’ve been evolving and innovating for over a century. As part of this evolution, we, along with 13 other automotive manufacturers, came together to form Stellantis in January 2021.
We’re proud to be part of the Stellantis family. Together, we provide clean and ambitious mobility solutions – while keeping customers at the centre. Being part of a larger, global company like Stellantis gives us the ability to invest more into electrification and future technologies. What’s not to love about that?
Vauxhall’s position within the British car manufacturing industry is as strong as it’s ever been. Our plant in Luton, which has been Vauxhall’s home since 1905, currently produces the Vivaro van, and it remains the only light commercial vehicle factory in the country.
Meanwhile, our Ellesmere Port plant in Cheshire, which has been building compact carlines since 1963, currently produces the Astra Hatchback and Sports Tourer models. In 2023, Ellesmere Port will become the first Stellantis plant to produce a solely battery-electric model, for both commercial and passenger use.
